My goal for the page redesign was to boost session lengths, reduce bounce rate, and increase conversion rate for the “Shop All” product page. I wanted to create a dynamic and sleek experience that also translated to what their consumers care about as well, an eco-friendly, vegan skincare brand that combined clean ingredients and sustainability into skincare products. I determined that Biossance’s “Shop All” product page lacked movement, liveliness, and a clean feel. By adding a header to the top of the page, I enhanced the display of promotions without the use of stickers among their product’s photos and broke up the monotony of the page. I also moved the shopping categories to the top of the page. This allowed the product photos to make use of the full width of the page and be the main focus. To also create a more elevated experience, I utilized Figma’s prototype and interactions capabilities to create an image overlay effect when a user hovers over any of the products available. Finally, I broke up the grid of products by adding a longer product photo carousel that rotates through images promoting different products and catching the user’s eye. Overall, my goal was to align the “Shop All” product page with the clean and sleek feeling of the brand, while maintaining usability.
